Our containers are free of BPA and are professional grade.
Does Liposomal Glutathione actually absorb into the body? we have heard it doesn't really work in the body and that a person needs NAC instead or to do a glutathione push, is this correct? Liposomal nutrients are designed to move past the cell membrane due to their phospholipid structure. The glutathione is inside a phosphatidylcholine liposome. Blood levels of glutathione increase after taking liposomal glutathione. Glutathione pushes do not last long as the ½ life of glutathione is only about 12 minutes. Liposomal glutathione appears to elevate blood glutathione levels more effectively than IV – and longer term.
I am concerned that my product has gone rancid, but it is far from expiration. The product smells like rotten eggs, and doesn't taste great either. Has my product gone bad? No. Glutathione is very high in cysteine. Cysteine is very high in sulfur. Sulfur compounds notoriously smell strongly, and many describe the odor as similar to "rotten eggs." So, in a way, the rotten egg smell you might perceive when opening Optimal Liposomal Glutathione is actually a sign of a high quality product! We’ve worked hard to make this product as palatable as possible, by masking the flavor of the glutathione using only natural flavors. It is not easy to mask, but most think we've done a pretty good job. If the flavor of the Optimal Liposomal Glutathione is too strong for you to handle, you may consider taking it followed by a pleasant-tasting organic fruit juice, or followed by our Optimal Liposomal Vitamin C, which has a much more popular flavor.
